Key Achievements
- Primary healthcare expanded, supporting more than 20 million outpatient visits and benefiting over 15 million Kenyans
- Free primary healthcare and KSh 800,000 oncology benefits introduced
- Kisii Level 5 Hospital cancer centre, a 2,000-bed multi-speciality facility at MTRH, and the 750-bed Kakamega County Teaching and Referral Hospital all underway or nearing completion
- More than 20,000 health workers recruited, surpassing the UDA manifesto target; 5,000 more to be hired this year
- SHA 922 Lifeline launched for free emergency access, ambulance coordination and the first 24 hours of stabilisation
- KEMSA medicine fill rate improved from about 40% to 91%
- Government now pays SHA contributions for about 2.2 million vulnerable Kenyans
- Linda Jamii enhanced maternity benefits: KSh 10,000 for normal delivery, KSh 30,000 for CS, across all facilities
